I am a Canadian, award-winning, best-selling indie author and have published 14 books since 2014. I'm known as much for my young adult, steampunk meets fairytale series, The Yellow Hoods, as for my more recent forays into supplements for classic and modern Dungeons & Dragons (the Wondrous & Perilous series including Treasures volumes 1 & 2).

By day, I am a technology leader. I graduated from the University of Waterloo, started my career in Silicon Valley, then worked at Microsoft, and have twice been the Chief Technology Officer of startups (see Adam Zouak on LinkedIn https://www.linkedin.com/in/adamzouak/).

But there's more to me than just tech and writing. I’m also a father of three amazing kids who inspire me every day. I believe deeply in being the mentor I wished I’d had. That means I invest time in writers of all ages to give them a boost or help them over their hurdles. Sometimes that’s a quick video chat, and sometimes it’s having tea with a kid and their grandparents, sharing stories and dreams.

As a speaker, I am always open about my own struggles—being dyslexic, living with chronic pain, and dealing with anxiety and depression. I share these experiences to help others understand how to work through or around such challenges. I want everyone to know that they’re not alone and that perseverance can lead to incredible achievements.

One of my proudest moments was launching my first Kickstarter in November 2023. It was a huge success, funded at 635%! Now, I’m planning the next campaign, likely for Wondrous & Perilous Tales volume 1, a series of fantasy short stories with additional content for fans of D&D and compatible games. This journey is not just about creating content but about building a community and sharing the magic of storytelling.
