Thank you to those who have served and who do serve, whose selfless actions allow me and my family to live a privileged life free of physical horror and soul-breaking fear. As someone whose health is regularly a challenge, thank you for allowing me the opportunity to contribute to society with my written words, and to raise my children.
I will continue to support the programs and services that aid you in your transitions back to civilian life, to make sure that your sacrifices and scars are not taken for granted or forgotten. My children will continue to hear, many times a year, about those that stand beyond our line of sight, representing us, our neighbours, and our country.
Thank you, and have a great day.
